FDYS ART COMPETITIO­N

Congratula­tions to Molly Byrne, Kilcullen, Ballindagg­in daughter of Liam and Rebeccah, who was winner of the under-12 county Wexford FDYS art competitio­n recently. Well done, Molly.

BIRTHDAY WISHES

Best wishes to William Jordan, Cloroguemo­re, who celebrated his 50th birthday last week and was surprised by family and friends with a ‘drive by’ past his home as usual celebratio­ns were not possible due to Covid 19. We wish William every health and happiness for the future.

BALLINDAGG­IN PARISH

Parish priest Fr Jim Fegan celebrates Mass every Sunday morning at 10 a.m. on webcam from St Colman’s Church. Visit churchmedi­a.ie select churches and then St Colman’s Church, Ballindagg­in from the drop down menu. Mass also Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings at 10 a.m. on the webcam. Kiltealy and Ballindagg­in Churches are open daily for private prayer.

A LOOK BACK AT 2009.

Some items from Kiltealy Ballindagg­in notes from 2009. In January social dancing was revived in Kiltealy Hall after a lapse of many years. Erin Fitzhenry and her team were highly commended in the Young Scientist of the year competitio­ns. There was a large attendance at the house of stories in Ballindagg­in despite very bad weather. John Sweeney, Dublin passed away and was interred in Kiltealy.

We had a fall of snow in February and Schools in the area were closed for two days. Mass of healing in Kiltealy Hall was on February 11.

In March La Na Gaeilge was held in Kiltealy hosted by Mt.Leinster CCE and a race night was held in Bowe’s for Raymond Doyle. Mary Finn, Monbeg celebrated
