DJ Ciano spins the decks for all to hear

-

POSITIVE vibes only for DJ Ciano as he has been hitting the decks nightly from his home in Camolin during the Covid-19 lockdown and keeping his neighbours, his family and his online viewers entertained.

The 18 year old has been using technology such as Facebook Live to broadcast and stream his set lists while taking requests and giving shout outs to fans and frontline workers along the way.

Whether it’s his shed or his front garden, Cian can be seen giving it socks on every occasion and has so far seen hundreds of listeners from across the country get involved.

‘I didn’t think I’d get the reaction I was going to get. Whether I was playing in the front yard or in the shed, just playing to all the neighbours around and they’re all enjoying it. I just came up with the idea myself as I wanted to keep the positive vibe going as everyone needs a bit of a lift to keep the spirits up,’ said Cian Fitzgerald Byrne.

The former Creagh College student said that this summer will be very different for him, but he’ll keep spinning the decks for all to hear and enjoy while he waits in hope of future gigs.

‘People have been giving me requests, texting me to keep it up and keep going. It has been absolutely amazing and it’s great publicity. When it’s all over I’m just looking forward to getting back at it as I miss it a lot. The whole summer is gone without it. I might not be back gigging until Christmas,’ he said.

Everyone from across Wexford is welcome to tune in to Cian’s daily tunes on social media from 7 p.m. nightly by searching ‘DJ Cian Wexford’.
