Gorey Active Retirement welcomes the latest lifting of restrictions as it brings back some normality, and would encourage older people who are going out for walks to walk in areas that are less frequented with people.

All at Gorey Active Retirement hope that the end will not be too much longer, and ask that you continue what you are doing and you will be safe.

Cancellations: Due to continued Covid-19 activity and closure of venues, the following events are cancelled:

Spring break will be converted to an Autumn Break in Ballina from October 4 to October 9.

Payments made will be carried forward to autumn break, while the National Concert Hall refund will be paid when we meet on Fridays.

Tea Dance in Ashdown Park Hotel – a later date will be considered and notified if agreed.

All payments or refunds can be made at the Loch Garman Arms hotel when it reopens. like to do.

The Gap Festival is considering novel ways of reaching its audience without bringing a crowd together in the traditional theatre, music and movie sense.

A range of events could build on the success of previous festivals, such as artist-led online do-it-at-home sessions, in which individuals and families can join in making works of art.

If people want to write, paint, record, or express in some way what they miss most, and if anyone has any ideas they’d like the Festival to explore, please email gapartsfest@gmail.com.
