WOMEN’S SHED
The Tomhaggard Women’s Shed are keeping busy while apart. Some of the members along with friends in the community are making scrubs for nursing homes in County Wexford. All the ladies are making them in there own homes to comply with social distancing regulations.
We would like to express our thanks to thanks An Garda Síochána who have helped us by collecting materials from Dublin for the project. Thanks to Wexford County Council Covid 19 emergency grant fund who is funding this next project without which it would not be possible. Also thank you to Annes Haberdashery online shop for supplying us with fabrics.
The members of the TWS have been in constant contact since the lockdown started on WhatsApp and Zoom quizzes hopefully we can all meet soon again. Stay safe everyone.
WRITING COMPETITION
Though the write by the sea Literary festival is cancelled all budding and established writers are invited to enter their Writing Competition in any or all of three categories: short story, memoir and poetry. Entries should reflect the theme ‘Waves’.
Category winners will receive €250 and the overall winner will receive €500. Winners will be invited to read at the Festival Opening on September 25 and the winning entries will be published on the festival website.

SUPPORT RESPONSE
As a support response St Fintan’s GAA Club have established a mechanism for community assistance for anyone who is self isolating or confined to their homes due to the covid 19 crisis. We can assist in collecting fuel, food shopping, collecting of orders and collecting of prescriptions. In line with the NPHE team guidelines our volunteers will maintain the recommended social distance in all communications.

We have a list of volunteers who will assist our coordinators in helping out where requested. Our offer of assistance is open to everyone in the wider community and we ask anyone in need to please engage with us.
ST FINTAN’S
Under instruction received from Croke park all GAA grounds are now closed for member and public use. We encourage all members, supporters and the wider community to follow all the advice that is been communicated by government.
COMMUNITY RESPONSE
The Wexford County Council community response forum helpline 053 9196000 is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Seven days a week. If you are in need of assistance in any way contact the helpline number and you will be put in touch with someone in your area that has signed up to help out during the pandemic.
MEALS ON WHEELS
Kilmore Quay community development association is currently operating a meals on wheels service which takes in the Mayglass area. This service operates on a weekday basis with each meal costing just €5. If your aware of anyone in the area wishing to avail this fabulous service please contact John at 087 2394809.
CHURCH NOTICE
Due to the Covid virus restrictions, there will be no weekday Masses in the parish till further notice. However, the churches will be open during the day for anyone who wishes to spend some time in prayer. We encourage people of the parish to check on their neighbour and friends and together we will come through this crisis. We hope that everyone keeps well and does their part to ensure we all come safely through this.
OPEN AIR MASS
An open air Mass will be held each Sunday morning in the car park of Ballymore church at 10 a.m. till further notice.
CONGRATULATIONS JASON
Congratulations to Jason Quilty son of Bob and Eleanor Mount Pleasant, who has been promoted as the Managing Director of EIS Financial Services Ltd in Glasgow, Scotland with immediate effect. Jason took up his new appointment on May 26 in Glasgow. Jason was promoted on March 1 but could not take up his appointment due to the lockdown.
Jason previously worked with bank of Ireland for 27 years before moving to work with Cornmarket Group Financial Services two-year ago. Both Cornmarket and EIS are owned by Irish Life. It is a great tribute to Jason to be promoted after just two years at Cornmarket. All his family and friends wish him every success in his new appointment.
Jason is a past pupil of St John’s NS and Wexford CBS.. In addition he has various Financial Diplomas. Jason is married to Jill, and they have two children, Lily and Daniel and they live in Delgany, Co.Wicklow. Congratulations, Jason.
MR PAT DILLON
Family members, neighbours and friends were saddened to learn last week of the death of Mr Pat Dillon, Kyle Upper, Crossabeg (formerly Bree) who died on Thursday, June 4
Beloved husband of Marie, and brother of Betty, Margo (Carley, St Patrick’s Terrace, Crossabeg)
Maura, Catherine, Trish, Ann, Jimmy, Liam, Anthony and the late John and Finn, he is also survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, grandnieces and nephews, extended family relatives and friends.
His Funeral Mass was offered up in Crossabeg church on Saturday morning with burial afterwards to Kilmore cemetery. May he rest in peace.

The envelopes and a box is available in O’Doherty’s Supermarket and Murphy’s SuperValue. The draw will take place once a month with five picks with no one winning more than once. ANNUAL ROSARY RELAY
The annual Rosary Relay will take place on Friday, June 19, at 8 p.m. in Our Lady’s Island Church. It will be transmitted on Webcam and broadcast on South East Radio. Due to Covid-19 Government Guidelines there will be no congregation in the church.
