. The committee hope that all members are keeping well and looking forward to the end of the Covid-19 virus when we can all meet again as before.

The easing of self-isolation is welcomed, but we must all be aware as some people are not keeping social distancing and creating a danger for elderly people.

The team advise to shop early to avoid contact and wear masks or face coverings when in shops or in busy places.

It is important that members exercise after the lockdown to build up muscle and stamina which may have been lost in isolation.

Walk on streets away from the town centre to avoid contact.

If you drive, go to the Rock GAA club where the walking track is now open and is very quiet and safe.

There will be updates on openings when information is available.

All at Gorey Active Retirement hope that the end will not be too much longer, and ask that you continue what you are doing and you will be safe.

Cancellations: Due to continued Covid-19 activity and closure of venues, the following events are cancelled.

Spring break will be converted to an Autumn Break in Ballina from October 4 to October 9.

Payments made will be carried forward to autumn break, while the National Concert Hall refund will be paid when we meet on Fridays.

Tea Dance in Ashdown Park Hotel – a later date will be considered and notified if agreed.

All payments or refunds can be made at the Loch Garman Arms hotel when it reopens.

The committee look forward to seeing you out and about soon but no official meet-ups have yet been arranged by the committee.
