Fines are handed to drivers
JUDGE Brian O’Shea set fines on a number of drivers convicted of motoring offences as he presided at Gorey District Court sitting in Wexford.
Shane McGuire (44), Garrynisk, Oylegate, was pulled up by a garda at Fairy Hill in Enniscorthy on September 25 last. The garda noted that the tax disc displayed had expired the previous May. He was fined €140.
Michael Connors (23), Caravan, Larkingrey, Milehouse Road, Enniscorthy, was pulled up at Parnell Road on the evening of July 22 last, driving a Skoda and not wearing his safety belt. He received a fine of €120.
Mary Connors (57), The Arches, Esmonde Road, Enniscorthy, was driving a Limerick registered vehicle with four passengers in the rear. One was a six-year-old who had no belt in place. She was handed a fine of €160.
Aaron Buckley (20 12 Nolan’s Lawn, Enniscorthy, broke the 50 km/h limit in Clonroche on the afternoon of September 1 when he was timed at 83 km/h. The result was a fine of €160.
Patryk Hadrys (20), 132 Madeira Oaks, The Moyne, Enniscorthy, was put off the road for driving without valid insurance at Nunnery Road on September 10. The offence was admitted and the result was a €200 fine along with a two-year disqualification.
