Movie fun at Bunclody

- By SIMON BOURKE

WITH cinemas only starting to reopen and the Irish summer not yet descending into the usual mix of cloudy skies and rain, film lovers across the county flocked to Bunclody AFC’s grounds for an evening of classic movies at the weekend.

A selection of old favourites were on offer with Will Ferrell’s timeless comedy Anchorman opening proceedings on Saturday

evening. The audience was then treated to the sight of a young John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John strutting their stuff in the 1978 musical romance, Grease.

On Sunday feel-good comedy Pitch Perfect starring Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson took to the screen at 4 p.m. before the weekend’s viewing came to a close with one of Tom Hanks’ most beloved films, Forrest Gump.
