QQI Qualifications at CTEC
(QQI) is the independent State agency responsible for promoting quality and accountability in education and training in Ireland. All QQI courses are listed on the National Framework of Qualifications and fully recognised nationally and in many other countries. CTEC delivers a wide range of part-time flexible training courses that lead to a QQI qualification. Due to the current situation with Covid 19, all courses are being delivered online using Zoom.
QQI Healthcare Qualifications
Healthcare is an area that offers good job opportunities both full and part-time, particularly in Wexford. If you feel that the role of the Healthcare Assistant could be the job for you, you can gain your QQI level 5 Health Service Skills major award by studying part-time at CTEC. Classes run one full day per week and most learners gain their full major award in less than 18 months.
QQI Childcare Qualifications - level 5 & 6
You can study for the QQI level 5 Early Childhood Care & Education National
Certificate and QQI level 6 Early Childhood Care & Education Advanced Certificate at evening classes at CTEC. If you graduate with your level 6 major award at CTEC with distinction, you can apply for admission directly into year 2 of the Childcare Degree programme at IT Carlow’s St Peter’s Campus.
QQI level 6 Special Purpose Award in Training & Development
This new award has replaced the popular FETAC Train the Trainer qualification. It consists of two separate modules – QQI level 6 Training Needs Identification and Design and QQI level 6 Training Delivery & Evaluation. When you successfully complete both modules you will be awarded a QQI level 6 Special Purpose Award.
FREE Training Courses at CTEC
Our Enterprise Start your own Business Course is a funded programme open to women. This course provides learners with business qualifications as well as support and networking opportunities for women wishing to start their own business.
Courses will be delivered 1 day per week from January 2021. This programme is co-funded by the Irish Government and the European Social Fund as part of the ESF Programme for Employability, Inclusion and Learning.
Funding for Courses and Instalment Payment Plans
You may be eligible for funding towards certified training courses from the Department of Social Protection depending on your personal circumstances and should check with your local Intreo Office for details. All CTEC course fees are payable by instalment. You can set up a payment plan at our Reception and there is no additional charge for this service.
