I couldn’t resist these Viktor & Rolf x Melissa jelly sandals. ey remind me of ones I had as a child, only the black colour and more intricate owers make them slightly more grown up.
Not that I’m advocating growing up to anyone. Solange Azagury-Partridge’s designs for high-end jewels are bold, brave and fun. God, who wouldn’t want to be described like that? She once made a pair of drop earrings with children’s milk teeth set in gold. Not for everyone, I’ll admit, but that’s what makes it special.
Last summer, I was lucky enough to spend three weeks in Roundstone in Connemara, where the beaches are easily as beautiful as any in the Assouline book... but it’s Ireland, so it has a special magic all its own. Still looking for a house for this summer if anyone knows of one!
I’m all about turbans and kaftans right now. What better way to cover growing-out roots and glamorously disguise those Covid pounds? I am obsessed with Julia Clancey’s fabulous designs; I just want to go and party with her.
I’m really enjoying the fact that I’m becoming less and less conservative as the years go by.
I snapped up this Egg-White bag in the sale in Arnotts. It’s designed by e Cool Hunter, which is worth checking out if you’re not familiar.
My most recent purchase was these Adidas ZX 6000 sequinned sneakers. If I ever get to a formal do again, I’ll be in them, but for now they make me smile when I look at my feet walking the dogs.
When I need to escape, Wes Anderson is my go-to, and any film will do. The sets, the costume design, the wit... Each one is spectacular. e details are what get me every time, right down to the pink pastry boxes from Mendl’s, designed by our very own Annie Atkins.
Chic Stays, published by Assouline, is like a dream list of places I want to visit. For now, they will all just have to remain on a list. But soon…
The hours I have spent in Persian artist and milliner Maryam Keyhani’s fantasy world… I adore this woman and everything she does. I could watch her paint for hours. I’ve collected a few of her hats – each one is a whimsical wonder that ts like a glove.
