FIONA’S FAVOURITES READING

-

My Name is Lucy Barton by Elizabeth Strout. I read every night; I love biographies and I have Alan Johnson’s latest, Nick Clegg’s and Bruce Springsteen’s on the go, depending on what mood I’m in. WATCHING I am the only person in my house who doesn’t watch TV. I did get into Making a Murderer though, but I haven’t got time to become addicted to boxsets. The news is my big drug. EXERCISE I walk everywhere, even to do the shopping, but it limits what I can buy in the supermarket. I am like a carthorse. BEAUTY ESSENTIAL Algenist Targeted Deep Wrinkle Minimizer, a line filler that I apply to a scar on my lip where I was bitten by our beagle when I was seven, and my smoking lines. SECRET SKILL I can still play a few notes on the trombone. I didn’t do grades as I was at an awful school – I don’t think they knew what grades were – and I gave it up because I was teased. SAVING UP FOR I never save – we’re hoping that our house in London is our pension. I’M MOST HAPPY away from everything I have got to do, with my family, on holiday.
