Women are only interested in my money

-

I am beginning to think that all the women I have met do not want a relationship; they just want to abuse men for their generosity. I am affluent, in my 60s and a worldwide traveller. Over the past few years I have met four women through a club. I sustained a very good lifestyle for the first one, only for her to return to her husband. The next one decided that I was good enough to pay for her worldwide travel, but left me after she inherited money from her aunt. The third one needed financial help to bring up her two children and then sold all my possessions to fund her alcoholic lifestyle, only to return to her ex-husband. The latest one said that I could help her rescue dogs, which I readily agreed to and have made four fit and healthy. Now, however, she has become aloof and just wants me to take in more dogs. Please assure me that there are still some genuine women out there who wish to share life’s pleasures and not abuse or destroy mine. You sound very kind and I am sorry that you have been horribly taken advantage of. There are some good women out there, but it sounds as though there may be something in the way you approach women that attracts gold-diggers. I suspect that when you first meet someone, you may be a little too quick to offer to pay for things or treat them lavishly. I wonder if your family were very poor, and you remember how hard it was as a child, so you are too keen to help people out, and these women have taken advantage of you. From now on, you should try to meet women through your friends and your social life rather than through this club. Do not broadcast the fact that you are well-off and take time getting to know them as friends first. I suspect that you might have rushed this important first stage. It is also safer if they are reasonably well-off or at least not short of money. There are women out there who will like you and love you for who you are and not for the lifestyle you can provide for them. If a future girlfriend shows any sign of asking for money, as these four have done, I would suggest that you run for the hills.
