THE EVER-GROWING McGettigan group has opened its latest luxury hotel, The Address in Dublin 1. With 80 rooms, it’s essentially a hotel within a hotel, on the site of the North Star on Amien’s Street. It operates as a separate brand, with its own checkin service, personnel and hospitality. The rooms have high-end in-room technology, including automated curtains, and floor sensor lighting. Guests have access to a rooftop Club Lounge, with snacks available free of charge all day, and cheese and wine in the evenings, with views across the city. The McGettigan’s Cookhouse & Bar offers the kind of top class gastro pub food that has made it a success across the world, and the côte de boeuf (€59 for two people) is worth the visit alone.
