Women like funny men best

MEN who tell jokes can laugh a woman into bed, according to scientists.

The attraction can even be measured mathematically: the more a woman laughs at a man’s jokes , the more likely it is they will end up together, a study found. University of Kansas communications professor Jeffrey Hall told the journal Evolutionary Psychology: ‘If you meet someone who you can laugh with, it might mean your future relationship is going to be fun and filled with good cheer.’

In the experiments, more than 100 volunteers were set up on blind dates and given ten minutes to talk.
