FAMILIES LEAP FORWARD

-

A LEAP card has been launched to give families unlimited travel around the Dublin for one day this year for €10.

The National Transport Authority launched the promotional Leap card yesterday.

It gives two adults and up to four children use of Dublin Bus, Luas, Irish Rail and Bus Éireann services in the greater Dublin area for 24 hours. The new travel card will be on sale the whole year but will be limited to 50,000.

Transport chiefs are hoping it will encourage families to use public transport as they travel to the city for the 1916 commemorations.

Anne Graham, of the NTA, said: ‘We hope that more families will choose to use public transport when they’re out and about together.’
