Astronauts miss air most

NASA astronaut Scott Kelly described cold air as ‘amazing’ after his return to earth following 340 days in space with cosmonaut Mikhail Kornienko.

The pair had longed to experience nature during their mission at the International Space Station. Kornienko called the fresh air ‘an unforgettable feeling’ and Kelly, inset, said it was ‘amazing’ when his capsule opened after touchdown in Kazakhstan.

The two are undergoing medical tests to help pave future missions to Mars.
