Is it really to Russia with love for former Baywatch star Pamela?

WITH election fever over, and with the make-up of our new Government still very much up in the air, election news is still very much alive and well in Ireland — and, it seems, politics is attracting a lot of attention elsewhere, too.

I was amused to hear the rumour that former Baywatch babe Pamela Anderson, pictured, has set her sights on becoming the next First Lady of Russia. The blonde bombshell has reportedly been gushing about Vladimir Putin, having reached out to the Russian president months ago for his help in her campaign for animal, environmental and human rights through the Pamela Anderson Foundation.

As for the man himself, why wouldn’t he be a fan of the former Playboy Playmate? So if 48-year-old Pam does capture his heart she could end up being the new First Lady of Russia, following in the footsteps of Carla Bruni in France... I wonder where Carla is these days?
