WEXFORD’S Bertram Allen began the CSI5* show in Doha Al Shaqab, Qatar, in style yesterday. Quarto Mail, a 2004 bay stallion, won the 1.45m two phase class in 26.33 seconds, before Allen then picked up second place aboard the famous Molly Malone V in the 1.50m. Allen is competing in Doha alongside compatriots Denis Lynch and Judy Reynolds, who competes in the 5* dressage competition.
