1 HENRIKH MKHITARYAN may be struggling to convince Jose Mourinho with his performances in the Premier League but the Armenian continues to come alive in Europe. Last night’s opening goal was Mkhitaryan’s fifth in the Europa League this season. However, Mourinho is demanding more intensity from the 28-year-old in domestic games. 2 MICHAEL CARRICK is still waiting to find out if he will be offered a new one-year contract at United to go with his testimonial this summer. However, his former Old Trafford teammate Michael Owen believes that United shouldn’t hesitate to give the veteran midfielder a new deal as he offers something that none of the current squad can. Speaking on BT Sport, Owen said: ‘With what they’ve got at the moment, I think they’d be very wise to sign him up for another season at least.’ 3 IT’S not easy to find somewhere to exercise in the middle of Manchester, but Anderlecht left their hotel yesterday afternoon and did some warm-up routines at a park in the Castlefield area of the city.
