Heath Minister weds Caoimhe Wade with Cabinet colleagues in tow
Just hours after announcing a review into voluntary hospitals, the Health Minister made sure he was at the church on time as he swapped vows with his stunning bride.
The couple married in St Patrick’s Church, Kilquade, Co. Wicklow, in front of family, friends and members of the Cabinet.
Foreign Affairs Minister Simon Coveney and his wife Ruth were in attendance with Mr Harris, a prominent supporter of his in the recent leadership race.
They were joined by former taoiseach Enda Kenny and his wife Fionnuala, Tánaiste Frances Fitzgerald, Finance Minister Paschal Donohoe, Minister for Defence Paul Kehoe and Mary Mitchell O’Connor, ‘super junior minister’ in charge of higher education. Junior minister Patrick O’Donovan was also in attendance, along with Dublin Bay South Fine Gael TD Kate O’Connell. Former Irish soccer international Damien Duff was spotted in the congregation.

The bride, who works as a cardiac nurse in Crumlin Children’s Hospital, wore a stunning beaded Sharon Hoey dress. HEALTH is his portfolio but it was matters of the heart of a different kind that concerned Simon Harris yesterday as married he his long-term love Caoimhe Wade.
