PLANT CLOVES OF HARDNECK GARLIC

There are two types of garlic: hardneck and softneck. The tastiest, hardneck, has a stiff stalk. Varieties such as ‘Red Duke’ will keep up to six months. Plant cloves 15cm apart, pointy end up, a good 2.5cm below the surface in well-drained soil.
