Folan saves Galway
GALWAY UNITED’S hopes of remaining in the Premier Divison were given a massive boost at Eamonn Deacy Park when Stevie Folan struck for a priceless winner. The experienced defender got possession inside the box 13 minutes from time and drilled home the winner. Galway hit the front after 14 minutes when Kevin Deveney fired home after a deflection fell kindly for him. The Candystripes got on level terms 13 minutes from the break when Rory Patterson finished from close range. The game seemed to be heading for a draw when Folan pounced to drill home the winner from inside the
