THREE THINGS MAYO MUST DO TO WIN

-

1

GET their selection right. An All-Ireland final is a game that when you win, everything you did was right and when you lose, everything you did was wrong. Mayo management need to be assured in the roles they have for Aidan O’Shea and Paddy Durcan, in particular.

2

THEY need to vary their attacks. Dublin will be much tighter in their man-marking than Kerry. Andy Moran, Jason Doherty and Cillian O’Connor simply won’t get as much room or possession against Jonny Cooper, Philly McMahon and Mick Fitzsimons so they will need variation in how they supply their inside-line.

3

THEY must maintain their discipline. Lee Keegan’s black card in the replay was devastating. They need to ensure they keep 15 men on the field and still play very aggressively.
