GOING NUTS FOR BOY FROM BRAZIL

- KIERAN GILL

RICHARLISON will arrive at Watford’s training ground tomorrow and communicate only by smiles as he continues to try to master the English language after a month and a half of lessons.

After the Brazilian’s last-gasp goal against Swansea secured Watford a club-record third consecutive away win, grins will be guaranteed.

Richarlison sent a clear message on Saturday, showing why Marco Silva spent £11.5million to sign him.

With compatriot Heurelho Gomes acting as translator, the 20-year-old is still getting used to living in England. As for life in the Premier League, it’s so far, so good.

‘He’s got character about him and his age doesn’t seem to matter,’ London-born team-mate Adrian Mariappa said.

‘He’s only 20 but he plays with a lot of personality and the boys really love him. He’s got a great attitude for a kid.’ Watford did not look like a side that had lost 6-0 to Manchester City the week before.

Silva’s team analysed what went wrong and concluded City were simply sublime, before bouncing back to win here.

As for Paul Clement, despite Tammy Abraham scoring his side’s first home goal of the season, the Swansea boss witnessed why his side could wind up in a relegation scrap.

Abraham cancelled out Andre Gray’s opener but some dire defending cost Swansea as Richarlison’s 90th-minute strike won it.
