HE might be one of the world’s richest athletes but Conor McGregor isn’t afraid to share his wealth with the women in his life.
And that isn’t just girlfriend Dee Devlin either. On the night Floyd Mayweather trounced the Crumlin-born cage fighter in the ring, his mum Margaret still had her eyes on the real prize — Conor’s reputed €100,000 pay packet. Hugging her son after defeat, she told RTE’s cameras ‘I can’t wait to spend some of his money.’
And she’s not the only one — Conor’s two sisters Aoife, 30, and Erin, 35, are also enjoying their days in the sun. At just 28, he is the baby of the McGregor bunch, but Conor has no problem lavishing presents and holidays on his big sisters, and they, in turn, have no issue sharing the details of their trips on yachts and private jets on their social media feeds.
Much like Conor, they are dedicated followers of fashion. And from the looks of things, the encroaching spotlight doesn’t faze the stunning pair one bit. Their evergrowing Instagram followers aren’t a patch on Conor’s 20.4 million, but with a combined 155,000 people clicking onto the pictures posted by the Dublin-born beauties, they are fast becoming social media heavyweights in their own right.
When Conor fought Mayweather, the girls made the most of their time in Sin City. Aoife and Erin arrived into Nevada by private jet via McGregor Entertainment, and lived it up at the wallet-busting Aria Resort and Casino. The pair also made a splash with matching eye-catching cutaway swimsuits, emblazoned with the words Team McGregor.
And fun never stopped in Vegas: Erin celebrated her brother’s massive pay packet that night by quaffing champagne straight from the bottle and partying with DJ Snake.
Look closer, and their Instagram output is an enviable parade of high-octane wealth, labels, and general ostentatiousness. You want a hefty slice of sun-kissed style or escapism? The McGregor sisters are a pretty safe bet.
They display their love of designers like Gucci, Christian Louboutin and Chloe online, and they are evidently tickled pink after being treated to Rolex watches by their little brother. And whether they’re taking off from Monaco via helicopter or letting their hair down in the VIP section at the Longitude festival, the full-blown glamour of the McGregor sisters isn’t going unnoticed.
Aoife married Mark Elliot last year while Erin, a busy mum-of-two, lives with her partner Terry Kavanagh. Erin runs her own hairdressing salon, while Aoife has been snapped up by agency boss Andrea Roche as one of Ireland’s biggest influencers thanks to her legions of social media fans.
Conor might be king in the ring but when it comes to the style stakes, Aoife and Erin are pulling no punches.
