A MOTHER’S ACCUSATION

THE mother of one of Kevin Spacey’s alleged victims wept yesterday as she claimed the actor sexually assaulted her teenage son last summer.

US broadcaster Heather Unruh – whose tweet accusing Spacey of assaulting a loved-one last month led to a wave of sexual claims against him – said: ‘Shame on you for what you did to my son.’

The TV reporter told a press conference her son was 18 and not legally able to drink – although he told the actor he was older – when they met in a bar in Nantucket, Massachusetts, in July 2016.

She added: ‘The victim, my son, was a star-struck, straight young man who had no idea that the famous actor was an alleged sexual predator or that he was about to become his next victim.

‘There was no consent. Kevin Spacey bought him drink after drink and when my son was drunk Spacey made his move and sexually assaulted him. I want to make it clear, this was a criminal act.’

She said House Of Cards star Spacey, 58, suddenly stuck his hand into her son’s underwear and grabbed his genitals. ‘My son panicked. He froze,’ she said.

Spacey invited him to a party. But a woman who noticed the teenager’s distress, persuaded him to flee when Spacey went to the lavatory. Ms Unruh said he ran to his grandmother’s to call her.

Her son didn’t go to police at the time out of fear of accusing such a global celebrity, Ms Unruh said.

‘Nothing could’ve prepared my son for how that sexual assault would make him feel as a man,’ she said in tears. ‘It harmed him and it cannot be undone.’

Her son – whom she didn’t name – went to police after the Harvey Weinstein scandal erupted. Spacey is seeking unspecified treatment after more than a dozen men accused him of sexual molestation or attempted rape. They were led by actor Anthony Rapp who said he was just 14 when Spacey sexually assaulted him.

Ms Unruh was the first to turn the spotlight on Spacey with a tweet on October 13 in which she said the Harvey Weinstein scandal had ‘emboldened’ her.

‘I was a Kevin Spacey fan until he assaulted a loved-one. Time the dominoes fell,’ she tweeted

Spacey, who also faces a sex assault investigation in Britain, has yet to respond to her accusations.

Another woman has accused millionaire magician David Blaine of sexual assault after a British model said that he raped her in London.

The unnamed US journalist has told Scotland Yard that Mr Blaine exposed himself to her in New York in 1998 and asked her to perform a sex act.

Mr Blaine has denied the allegations.
