Beyoncé and Jay-Z ‘stayed together for family’

JAY-Z finally admitted to cheating on Beyoncé in a bombshell interview last week. And now insiders have disclosed that the two A-listers worked hard to stay together for the sake of their family. The 48-year-old rapper and his 36-year-old wife struggled to put on a united front, doing so for the sake of their daughter Blue Ivy Carter, a source told People on Tuesday.

Beyoncé apparently had trust issues after her mogul husband’s infidelity but the focus remained on their five-year-old daughter.

The insider said: ‘It was very rough for them to stay married. It took Beyoncé a long time to trust again. She was struggling to move on and forgive. But keeping her family together was important.’

Although there was a fracture in their relationship, it seems parenting duties kept Beyoncé and Jay-Z, pictured, together.

‘If it wasn’t for Blue Ivy, they might not be together,’ the source said. ‘It took them years to get to the point where they are now.’

The couple, married for nine years, have actively worked on their marital issues through therapy.

The source said the pair ‘are happy they were able to move on as a family’. And it seems like the two new additions to their clan – twins Rumi and Sir, who were born in June – have made their familial bond even stronger. The source added: ‘Having more babies made them even closer.’

It comes after Jay-Z revealed in an interview with The New York Times last week that he’d been unfaithful to Beyoncé. He said: ‘The hardest thing is seeing pain on someone’s face that you caused, and then have to deal with yourself.’

He has never named the woman he cheated with. Beyoncé famously dubbed her ‘Becky with the good hair’ in her 2016 song, Sorry.
