AS the best-paid player in English soccer, he can easily afford to splash the cash on the latest trend or fad.

Now Paul Pogba – at the grand old age of 24 – is taking time out to try a special face mask to prevent the effects of ageing.

The device costs over £2,000 (€2,200) but that is a blip for someone on £290,000 a week. Quite what his Manchester United predecessors such as Roy Keane and Bobby Charlton would say about his snap posted on Instagram is anyone’s guess.

The so-called Opera LED mask purports to counteract sun damage on skin using light therapy, keeping wrinkles and crow’s feet at bay. It also claims to tackle acne, and reduce any pain throughout the body by boosting Vitamin D and serotonin levels.

The treatment is described as ‘painless’ and ‘non-invasive’ and is designed to provide ‘skin rejuvenation treatments to the face and neck’.

Pogba, a French international, is no stranger to eyecatching stunts and fashion statements. A keen fan of social media, he is the first Premier League player to have his own official Twitter emoji.

Last November, he unveiled a flamboyant new haircut featuring shaved sides and a red streak down the middle.

The makers say the mask is ‘a painless, non-invasive, aesthetic device for a variety of conditions’.

Other celebs who have shared selfies in the mask include Kate Hudson.
