GRIEF-STRICKEN nieces and nephews of Cranberries frontwoman Dolores O’Riordan have paid touching tributes to the tragic singer who they knew as ‘Auntie Lolo’.

The Limerick star’s family yesterday posted emotional comments on social media remembering their aunt.

In one heartfelt post, Elaine O’Riordan described her ‘devastation’ at her beloved aunt’s sudden passing at the age of just 46.

‘Words can’t describe the shock and sadness we are all feeling,’ she wrote. ‘Watch over Dad, Nana and all your brothers and sisters and kids. It’s going to be a very tough road ahead at your loss, we all love you xxx.

‘I’m sure you and granddad will have a great time up in heaven together. Until we meet again xxx. Only one Auntie Lolo, you will be sorely missed. Rest in Peace. Love you xxx Still doesn’t feel real xoxoxo.’

The online post accompanied a picture of the Linger and Zombie singer surrounded by love hearts.

Other anguished family members also remembered their aunt – with some posting music videos of The Cranberries performing in their early years.

Ms O’Riordan had three children with ex-husband Don Burton, a former tour manager for Duran Duran to whom she was married for 21 years.

Their son Taylor, 20, and daughters Molly, 16, and Dakota, 12, live with their father in Canada.

It’s understood that the late singer’s family are preparing arrangements for her funeral in Limerick.

Her children are expected to travel to Ireland in the coming days with their father.
