Horror of father’s sick chats about his own girl

-

A FATHER who shared pictures of his daughter with Matthew Horan said he would think about young girls or the girl in a sexual manner.

The man, whose name was not disclosed in court but who is under investigation, had held Skype conversations with Horan during which they had both shared fantasies about the girl.

The father said Horan spoke to him about accepting his own sexual thoughts about children. He said Horan reminded him a lot of himself years ago.

Dublin Circuit Criminal Court heard the man said it had been ‘a lot tougher mentally’ when he didn’t ‘embrace who he was’ and that he would think about young girls or his daughter in a sexual manner.

During a conversation, Horan had told the man he had felt ‘empowered’ when holding the gaze of a young girl who had attended the same wedding as him one weekend.

Detective Garda David Connolly said the man, who claimed to be sexually interested in children and adult men, told Horan he wished Horan was bisexual as he felt they would ‘click’.

Much of the remaining conversation involved the man trying to arrange a meeting with Horan to have sexual relations with him. Horan responded saying he was ‘not into it’ but wanted to see pictures of the man’s daughter.

He told the man: ‘We’re just two sick f***s who are totally cool with being sick f***s.’
