LOVE Island fans have been exposed to millions of tobacco-related images, a study has found.

Researchers from the journal Tobacco Control discovered 21 episodes of the popular reality TV show, pictured, included 2014 intervals of tobacco-related content – 20% of the total in series three.

‘We suggest programme makers be reminded of their legal obligation on the representation of smoking and that regulators take a more proactive line in enforcement to protect children from gratuitous promotion of tobacco,’ they said.
