DOUGLAS Henshall returns as DI Jimmy Perez (pictured with Alison O’Donnell and Stephen Walters) for a new, six-part fourth series of the acclaimed drama based on the books of Ann Cleeves (who is also responsible for the novels behind crime series Vera). Since making its debut in 2013 with a twopart adaptation of her novel Red Bones, the series has gone from strength to strength, and now follows a single storyline. And so, on the windswept Scottish islands, we find the taciturn DI Perez investigating a murder that turns out to have a striking connection to one from 1993, for which new evidence has now come to light. Could the two killings be linked?
