Did Noel and Liam really burgle Richard Madeley’s home?

-

RICHARD Madeley has said that Noel and Liam Gallagher admitted to burgling his house when his wife Judy Finnigan was asleep, years before they hit the big time.

Talking about the naughty former Oasis stars, pictured, on Good Morning Britain yesterday, Richard, 61, said he once questioned the men about their past lives.

Richard said: ‘He and his brother used to live quite close to us when we used to live in Manchester.

‘They admitted in the early stages of their career they did a bit of robbery and we think they did our house. I spoke to them about it, and we spoke about it.

‘It was many years ago and they’ve probably forgotten about it now and they said “yeah I think we did that one yeah, I think we did that one, went in through the window yeah”.’

Richard’s comments came after he said in 2011 that Judy had been asleep in the house at the time.

He told Absolute Radio: ‘We had put it to them maybe they were the ones who came through our house at 4am in the morning. They can’t remember as they were out of it.’

A spokesperson for both Liam and Noel Gallagher have been approached for comment.

Liam, 45, and Noel, 50, have spoken about their past lives as criminals. Noel once told Melody Maker: ‘What people have got to understand is that we are lads. We have burgled houses and nicked car stereos, and we like girls and swear and take the p***.’

However, their mother Margaret hinted they might have been over-egging their claims.
