Sinn Féin need to get back to Stormont and stop posturing
THAT Sinn Féin demand a ‘Compulsory Irish’ piece of paper to wave at the population of a British jurisdiction before going back into the Stormont government they destroyed more than a year ago is so hilarious in these hard times that one can only smile at this typical type of outstanding ‘republican’ bleating.
It really is a pity that these old ‘Fenian’ notions of grandeur endure in this enlightened age of common sense.
Have a word with them, someone, please because those shinners are living in cloud cuckoo land. ROBERT SULLIVAN, Bantry, Co. Cork. ...As a delegate at the recent Sinn Féin ard fheis I wished Mary Lou McDonald well as the newly elected president of Sinn Féin and Michelle O’Neill as her deputy.
They are two capable ladies who will do this country proud in the tasks that lie ahead.
Unlike the people who never offered anything of value to those living under a cloud of colonialism since the undemocratic partitioning of this country, it was Gerry Adams and his party, along with others, who brought peace and equality to this island of Ireland.
Gerry Adams, who was interned twice without any charges and has lived his life under constant threat since his teenage days, will long be remembered for all he has done to reach out to others.
Slán go fóill, Gerry, you have left a great legacy behind you.
