So this is how Jen is getting over split from Justin

-

JENNIFER Aniston prides herself on being healthy, enjoying regular exercise and eating clean.

And following her recent split from husband Justin Theroux, footage of the Friends actress, pictured, praising the benefits of Transcendental Meditation has surfaced online.

The 49-year-old – who last week announced she was parting ways with the Girl On The Train actor after two-and-a-half years of marriage – revealed she practises the relaxation technique every morning in a bid to stay calm, centred and grateful for what she has.

In a video interview with PopSugar, she explained: ‘It’s a kick-start for your day, it centres you, your stress levels are down and you find yourself interacting in the world much easier and better, in a calmer way. There’s a peaceful way that comes over you.

‘I don’t know how or why, there’s no rhyme or reason. I just know if I go through a phase where I slip off and I’m not as religious with it, I feel the difference.’

When told that meditation might feel a little intimidating to some fans, Jennifer insisted there was no way to ‘mess it up’.

Suggesting people take a class or go it alone, she said, ‘You can listen to beautiful music, find gratitude in what you do.’

Transcendental Meditation is a firm favourite with many in Hollywood, including Cameron Diaz, Hugh Jackman and Ellen DeGeneres.

Aniston has spoken elsewhere about her love of transcendental meditation, saying she got up at 4.30am to practise it.

She said she usually spent 20 minutes meditating, or ten minutes if she was short on time.
