YESTERDAY’S television picks by Sky Sports revealed Pep Guardiola’s (right) Manchester City will visit Spurs on April 14. His side need six wins to seal the title, and play five games before facing Spurs. Also on TV is the Manchester derby at Old Trafford on Saturday April 7 at 5.30pm.

JONJO SHELVEY must wait to discover the extent of the knee injury which threatens to rule him out of key matches during Newcastle’s relegation run-in. Sportsmail can also reveal that the midfielder has been receiving pain-killing injections in his groin in recent weeks. Shelvey is resting his knee, which swelled up following Saturday’s 2-2 draw at Bournemouth. He could be fit for Saturday’s trip to Liverpool but there are also fears that a scan could reveal more serious damage. Even if tests return good news, however, it is likely he will be saved for the visit of Southampton on March 10. Manager Rafa Benitez will hope that proves the case as Shelvey has rediscovered his best form recently. He was criticised by Match of the Day pundit Frank Lampard for his part in Bournemouth’s two late goals at the weekend but it is thought he was feeling pain in his groin at the time and would have been withdrawn had Newcastle not already used three substitutes.

FORMER Arsenal and Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri has been given a sixmonth doping ban by UEFA. The ban follows an investigation into an intravenous hydration treatment Nasri, 30, received in Los Angeles in December 2016.
