Don’t sleepwalk to a nightmare exit, Arsene

-

SURELY there has to come a time for Arsene Wenger when he says enough is enough.

Arsenal’s defeat at Brighton was not as a result of a recent downturn in form.

This club’s decline has taken place over a number of years and it is clear to see that Wenger can no longer get the best from his players.

If Wenger were to say now that he plans to leave at the end of the season, it will allow the club to build for the future and fully recognise his successes.

Arsenal’s last home game of the season, against Burnley, should be a celebration of the club’s greatest manager and not a barrage of ‘Wenger out’ protests.

As much as the end is nearing for Wenger, his players need to stand up and be counted. They are hiding behind their manager and allowing him to sleepwalk towards a sorry exit.
