MARY demonstrates another batch of ever-popular classics that require minimal effort to put together, and this time she showcases ideas for light and easy meals. The queen of the kitchen begins with drop scones – Scotch or griddle pancakes – before moving on to a light version of the traditional Indian breakfast favourite kedgeree (pictured), beef burgers, lemon syllabub and a delicious-looking chicken, avocado and bacon salad. She also visits a London primary school to rustle up a healthy lunch using fresh vegetables from their garden, with a couple of very capable little helpers.
