THE ASSASSINATION OF GIANNI VERSACE: AMERICAN CRIME STORY, 9PM, BBC2

U.S. TV producer and writer Ryan Murphy recently signed on to Netflix for $300million and on the strength of his work – American Horror Story, Glee and now this series – it’s possible to see that as good value. In this second episode killer Andrew Cunanan – who is already wanted for four murders – arrives in Miami to stalk fashion designer Gianni Versace. Meanwhile Donatella Versace (Penélope Cruz, right) attempts to convince her brother to try out her designs, which are a much darker vision than his sunny but possibly old-fashioned styles.
