WITH the highest incidence of Cystic Fibrosis (CF) per capita in the world, the illness rightly has a strong advocacy base in Ireland.

Almost 1,200 people suffer with CF here, where some of the most severe types of the condition are experienced.

Charity Cystic Fibrosis Ireland represents the interests of people and families affected, and will host its annual conference in Dundalk on April 6 and 7, which Minister for Health, Simon Harris, will attend.

The conference comes ahead of Cystic Fibrosis Ireland’s annual appeal, 65 Roses Day, on Friday April 13, when purple roses will be sold to raise funds. See cfireland.ie for details.
