Call for abuse claims inquiry

MARY McAleese’s brother has called for an independent investigation into abuse claims against the late paedophile priest Malachy Finnegan.

Mrs McAleese, right, told RTÉ radio that her brother, Clement Leneghan, was ‘seriously physically abused’ by Finnegan. Mr Leneghan issued a statement to Today With Sean O’Rourke calling on the Northern Secretary to ‘lose no time’ in initiating an inquiry into abuse at the Newry school where Finnegan taught.
