So what did Dáil deputies ask Angela about at Pac?

-

The following is a transcript of questions asked about Angela Kerins’s company car at the Public Accounts Committee on February 27, 2014.

Áine Collins, then Fine Gael TD

for Cork North West: May I ask Ms Angela Kerins about her company car? What kind of company car does she have and what is the value of it?

Angela Kerins: My company car is a four-year-old Audi Q4. I am not very...

AC: Based on her salary, Ms Kerins obviously pays benefit in kind, BIK, on her company car.

AK: I do. From my recollection, the funding is approximately €18,000, half of which amount I pay in benefit in kind. I am giving round figures from memory. The amount in BIK is about €7,000 or €7,500. Kieran O’Donnell former Fine Gael TD for Limerick City: What model of Audi is Ms Kerins’s car? AK: It is a Q4. KOD: It is four years old. When will the car be changed next? AK: I do not anticipate a change. It just passed its MOT, so I do not see why I would be changing it until it is necessary. KOD: If it recently passed its MOT, it has another two years at least.
