FIFA WEBSITE CAN’T COPE WITH WORLD CUP TICKET DEMAND
SPANISH giants Barcelona have denied Brazilian superstar Neymar (below) wants to return to the club one year after they sold him. A spokesman at the club denied rumours the Paris Saint-Germain star wants to return to the Nou Camp. He said: ‘We wished him the best of luck at the time of his departure and there has been nothing more.’ FIFA have apologised after their website failed to cope with demand for World Cup tickets. Many fans spent hours waiting to get into the site after sales reopened yesterday, while others paid for tickets but didn’t get any confirmation the tickets were reserved. Writing on Twitter, FIFA said: ‘We are really sorry. We’ve been informed the issues relate to the sheer volume of fans accessing the ticketing platform.’
