AUDI’S ELECTRIC DREAMS

AUDI has announced its first all-electric car, based on the e-tron Quattro large SUV concept I saw at the Audi Summit in Barcelona last July.

The company already is accepting refundable €2,000 deposits from buyers who want to take delivery of the fiveseater car early in 2019.

Audi is promising power of a whopping 429hp, and a range of up to 500km on a single charge, and photovoltaic cells built into the sunroof will generate energy for the aircon and heated seats.

Door mirrors will be replaced by cameras delivering OLED pictures in the cabin, reducing exterior drag and increasing range.

Audi also has signed a joint venture agreement with BMW, Daimler, Ford and Volkswagen to roll out a new fastcharge network called IONITY in Topaz stations across the country.

SPORTY WITHOUT THE EXPENSE

FORD now offers seven ST-Line models in the range, offering customers who want the sporty look and feel of an ST car without the expense necessary to go all the way.

The ST-Line offers sport suspension and body styling, unique alloy wheel designs, and sport seats, steering wheel and pedals.

You can take your pick of the ST-Line versions of Focus, Fiesta, EcoSport, Mondeo, Kuga, S-MAX and Edge.
