O’Shea faces spell on sidelines as boss Fitzgerald makes three changes

- By MARK GALLAGHER

KERRY will be without attacking starlet Sean O’Shea for the remainder of their Division 1 campaign, following the ankle injury suffered by the talented young centreforward in last Sunday’s heavy defeat at Croke Park. Daithí Casey replaces O’Shea for tonight’s clash with Kildare, one of three changes that Éamonn Fitzmaurice has made from the Dublin defeat. Fionn Fitzgerald comes in for Shane Enright at corner-back and takes over the captaincy from Shane Murphy while Barry John Keane starts instead of Adrian Spillane. Fitzmaurice confirmed that James O’Donoghue has recovered from his calf injury and may be available for their final game in Omagh. Tyrone goalkeeper Niall Morgan has been dropped for their match in Castlebar tomorrow. Mickey O’Neill replaces the regular custodian in the only change from the win over Donegal. Colm Galvin will make his return for Clare in tomorrow’s Shannonside derby at the Gaelic Grounds. The skilful midfielder suffered whiplash against Wexford a fortnight ago and sat out last week’s defeat to Waterford. Galvin replaces Ian Galvin to resume his partnership with Tony Kelly. Tipperary hurling boss Michael Ryan has made a number of changes for tomorrow’s League quarter-final against Dublin. James Barry and Michael Cahill come into the full-back line for Donagh Maher and Sean O’Brien while Seamus Kennedy replaces Brendan Maher in midfield and Cian Darcy is named at corner-forward, instead of John McGrath. Brian Cody makes four changes to the Kilkenny side which beat Wexford for tomorrow’s quarterfinal with Offaly in Tullamore. Conor Browne replaces Enda Morrissey at wing-back while Ollie Walsh, Liam Blanchfield and Richie Reid also come in for Martin Keoghan, John Donnelly and Pat Lyng.
