The dream is over as Channing and Jenna split up

CHANNING Tatum and Jenna Dewan have split after nine years of marriage.

The couple, both 37, revealed the news by posting matching statements on their respective Instagram pages, insisting they remain ‘two best friends’ but accepting they are on ‘different paths for now’.

The pair share a daughter, Everly, who will turn five on May 31, and say they will remain ‘loving dedicated parents’ now they have separated. Their fans reacted with shock on social media.

The couple, pictured left, made their last public appearance together on November 6 at the LA premiere of War Dog: A Soldier’s Best Friend.

The pair attended last month’s Kids’ Choice Awards separately – as Channing took the stage and Jenna sat in the crowd with Everly.

Channing met Jenna on the set of 2006’s Step Up, where they played love interests Tyler Gage and Nora Clark, and they wed three years later in Malibu, California.

The estranged couple penned the note this week, reading: ‘Hey world! So… We have something we would like to share. First off, it feels odd that we have to share this kind of thing with everyone, but it’s a consequence of the lives we’ve chosen to lead, which we also happen to be deeply grateful for.

‘We’re living in an incredible moment in time, but it’s also a time where truth can easily get distorted into “alternative facts”.

‘So we want to share the truth so you know that if you didn’t read it here then it’s most certainly fiction...

‘We have lovingly chosen to separate as a couple.’
