Man quizzed by gardaí over disappearance of woman, 30

- By Ali Bracken

A MAN is being questioned about the disappearance of a 30-year-old mother of three in Sligo, the Irish Daily Mail can reveal.

Natalia Karaczyn has been missing from her home in Crozon Park, Sligo, since early on Sunday morning.

She was captured on CCTV entering a house in the area but never emerging. This property is being searched and examined by forensic experts.

Last night, gardaí were also searching nearby woodlands.

Gardaí yesterday put out a missing persons appeal for Ms Karaczyn. One man has given officers a voluntary statement, admitting to being romantically linked to her.

Another man, who is known to her, is the person being quizzed about her disappearance.

Yesterday, the Garda press office said: ‘Gardaí in Sligo are concerned for Natalia’s safety and any persons who can assist with the investigation is asked to contact Sligo Garda Station on 071 9157000, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.’

Natalia’s sister also made a heartfelt appeal for information. Magdallena McMorrow wrote on Facebook yesterday: ‘My sister Natalia went out last Saturday night and has not come back. She has 3 children and would never have done this before. Please if you have any information, seen her or maybe have CCTV outside your house in the area, get in touch with [the gardaí] or myself.’
