Uma God! You’d work with Tarantino again?

-

THREE months after revealing she was forced to perform a stunt that was ‘negligent to the point of criminality’ for Quentin Tarantino, Uma Thurman said she wants to work with the director again.

The 48-year-old Oscar nominee told Entertainment Weekly: ‘I understand him and if he wrote a great part and we were both in the right place about it, that would be something else.’

In 2002, Thurman, pictured with Tarantino, suffered a concussion and her neck and knees were ‘permanently injured’ after crashing a Karmann Ghia convertible into a tree at 65kph on the Mexican set of Kill Bill: Volume 2.

‘Do I have a chronically bad neck? Yeah. Was I mad about how it was handled and how I was treated? Yes,’ Uma explained.

‘But does that mean I don’t care about someone that I have 25 years of history with? No! My capacity to forgive exists and things happen. The accident itself was wrong, but I tried to explain that it was the environment around it that wounded me the most.’

Rather than the ‘remorseful’ Tarantino, 55, the Pulp Fiction actress blames producers Lawrence Bender, E. Bennett Walsh and Harvey Weinstein for the ‘unforgivable cover-up’.

In February, Tarantino admitted to Deadline: ‘She blamed me for the crash and she had a right to blame me for the crash. It was heartbreaking. Beyond one of the biggest regrets of my career, it is one of the biggest regrets of my life... It affected me and Uma for the next two to three years... A trust was broken.’
