Look who’s back in the picture... it’s Ant & Dec like they used to be

HE has only been pictured in public twice since his drink-driving arrest – and his co-host Declan Donnelly forced to make his first red carpet appearance alone during Sunday night’s Bafta TV Awards.

But it seems that away from the spotlight, Ant McPartlin and his long-time friend Declan are still very much in each other’s lives.

The popular pair were pictured together for the first time in two months in a snap shared on Twitter yesterday.

The photo, right, taken with a fan, appears to show the pair hanging out in a pub garden in London – just a day after Dec picked up an award for the TV duo without his long-time counterpart. It is the first time in a while they have been seen together.

The event marked the presenter’s first red carpet appearance without sidekick Ant, as he took a break from presenting duties to enter rehab after being arrested for drink-driving in March.

Ant was recently fined a record £86,000 (€100,000) and banned from the road for one year and eight months after pleading guilty to drink-driving.

Last week, he was seen outside rehab following a month of intensive treatment after he admitted himself to a private clinic to treat his drink and painkiller addiction.

It was claimed that Dec also chose to sit out the winners room interviews after his moment of victory.

Last month, it was revealed that Dec would host the Britain’s Got Talent live shows alone.

A spokesman for ITV confirmed: ‘Declan Donnelly will host Britain’s Got Talent live shows on his own while Ant McPartlin “steps down from his TV commitments for now”.’ Ant stepped down from his presenting commitments when he was charged with drink-driving earlier this month following a three-car crash.

The television personality was twice the legal limit when he was arrested for drink driving after the crash, according to police.

Dec made his solo debut when he fronted the final two shows of Saturday Night Takeaway without his presenting partner of nearly three decades.

After the finale in Orlando, Florida, Dec told the crowd: ‘Thanks for all the love and support, it’s been a series tinged with... well...’

Then, before he could finish his sentence, someone in the audience shouted: ‘We miss Ant!’

Dec replied: ‘Yes, we do, we do. It’s tinged with sadness. Can you all give one round of applause for Ant who is at home?’

As the audience showed their support, the presenter added: ‘Thank you so much, I know he will appreciate that a great, great deal.’
