First child on way for Christine Lampard, 39
CHRISTINE LAMPARD is pregnant with her first child.
The 39-year-old Irish TV presenter and her husband Frank made the announcement on social media yesterday, saying: ‘The Lampard family are expanding.’
And the close couple, who married in 2015, decided to break the news while posting a photo of themselves with Frank’s two children and their do g. Ex-Chelsea soccer star Frank, also 39, has two daughters – Luna, 12, and Isla, ten – from a previous relationship with Spanish model Elen Rivas. Antrim native Mrs Lampard said: ‘I feel so excited, nervous and grateful! The list of emotions is endless.’
A source revealed that the couple had told Luna and Isla the news on Monday, and they said they did not know the sex of the baby. Since then the girls are having fun coming up with baby names.
The exciting news comes three months after Christine confessed she still wanted a child, despite doting on her stepdaughters. At the time, she said: ‘If it happens, of course it will be wonderful. If not we have the two girls.’ She has previously spoken about the pressure on childless women and how she had often been asked when she was going to have a baby.
