QUESTION

Dear Linda, I am a regular reader of your column and I do believe in angels, although I sometimes wonder why I feel so desperate and alone. I have taken care of family members, financially supported some, encouraged them through difficulties and been there for them. Yet, there never seems to be anyone there for me. There are issues with a young family member at the minute and I feel I am alone in dealing with it. R.

ANSWER

Dear R. It is in times of great difficulty that our faith is tested the most. There are many ways of looking at your situation through spiritual eyes. We are all responsible for ourselves and our own journey, including this young person you are worried about. No matter much we love and care for another, we can’t do their journey for them. All we can do is be an ear, give emotional support and advice. Often we feel a sense of duty toward family, but it is very important not to become an enabler.

FIRST CARD: INTEGRITY

This card is in response to your questions or prayers about increasing your happiness and confidence. The angel’s answer is: only conduct activities that you believe are right. This is based on no one else’s code of conduct but your own. The angels say that engaging in behaviours that you feel guilty or ashamed about erode your self-esteem. Conversely, you can feel great about yourself by only doing that which you feel is right. Again this is based on your own moral compass and no one else’s. The angels can help you change, or heal any situation or relationship so you’re able to bring your entire life fully into alignment with your inner truth.

ADVICE/OBSTACLE: STRENGTH

This card comes to you because you need to know that you are stronger that you realise. You can definitely handle your current situation. However, instead of ‘powering through it,’ you’re better off with an approach of compassion, kindness, and gentleness. The strength that this situation calls for comes from the softness of a spiritual core. Your strength and effectiveness increase as you believe in yourself and your ability to grow from the experiences you have in life.

OUTCOME: MANIFESTATION POWER

This card is a reminder that you do have the power to change your life by using your natural spiritual gifts of manifestation. When you complain, you give away your power to others. Complaints are also negative affirmations that attract more of the same undesirable effects. Instead of complaining, the angels would like you to of visualize your desired outcome. It really works!
